Firstly, so sorry for the late post on 10 at Claymore!! I admit I am a lazy kid. ): I have not even blogged about Azur which I celebrated my birthday at LAST JUNE. Yes, June 2009. Haha!!!
Anyway, I had my Christmas Dinner with my darlings on the 23rd at 10 at Claymore (Pan Pacific Orchard).
There was a 4-dines-for-the-price-of-3 deal going on there for Citibank cardholders so our dinner was pretty cheap compared to other restaurants at other hotels during that festive season.
However, I must say, I was a tad bit disappointed with 10 at Claymore as we chose that place after reading really good reviews for it but when we reached, there wasn't much varieties to choose from. The spread looked like a high tea spread rather than for dinner.
Variety wise, needless to say, The Line at Shangri-la and Carousel at Royal Plaza on Scotts won hands and legs down.

SEAFOOD
Mussels, Crabs, Prawns, Oysters.
The prawns are succulent, juicy and fresh. As a prawn lover, I was in heaven.
***
CHEESE
A wide variety of cheese to choose from to go with the crackers and strawberries.
It would be good for white wine drinkers as wines like Sauvignon blanc and Chardonnay goes really well with cheese.
***
COLD CUTS AND SALAD
A wide variety of salads to choose from as well as greens and dressings for you to create your own salad.
Well, I am not really a herbivore.... so pardon me.
Among all of those dishes, some which I tried are:
PASTA SALAD
Pasta with crunchy walnuts and raisins. A great way to start off my meal!
***
HAM PLATTER
Uh. Well, ham!
That's all.
NEXT!

MUTTON STEW
This is the mutton stew which is served at the hot food section which I did not have a chance to take a photo because all the waitresses are all staring at me! ):
Well, back to the Mutton stew, I must say, I love it.
The mutton, carrots and potatoes are stewed thoroughly. Savoury and satisfying.
***
FRIED BEEHOON AND THAI GREEN CURRY
OMG. THE GREEN CURRY IS LIKE THE BEST DISH AT THE BUFFET. (Ok other than the super tender turkey and the sweet and sour fish.)
It is so good that it is making me feel uberly hungry right now.
***
SWEET AND SOUR FISH
(I cannot remember what is the exact name)
Other OMG.
OMG and gobbles up everything.
***
AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST....
ROSEMARY TURKEY!!!
FANTASTIC TURKEY served by a camera-shy chef. HAHAHA! He was "Arm Chio-ing" (smiling shyly to himself) when I asked to take a photo of him cutting the turkey. Hahahaha!
Anyway, the turkey is one of the best I have tasted. Juicy and Tender meat, Crispy and fragrant skin topped with sour-sweet cranberry sauce and flavourful brown sauce.
Well,
I am a hardcore turkey lover.

AND HOW CAN WE FORGET....
THE DESSERTS
Most of the desserts served at the buffet are just so so. Nothing impressive. However, I found a CROUCHING TIGER HIDDEN DRAGON amongst all the mediocre sweets.
WARM APPLE PUDDING
It should be renamed as A PIECE OF HEAVEN.
Warm, Moist, Chocolatey with a perfect touch of Apple.
DESSERTS MAKES ME LOVE CHRISTMAS MORE.
Warm Apple Pudding with Vanilla Sauce

Below are some of the photos of the mediocre desserts (hahaha. Sorry I didn't mean to be mean.) so I shall let the photos do the talking. (The true fact is I have nothing much to say about them. OPPS.)

Overall, Service was pretty good other than I had to loiter around the turkey station for around 10 minutes before someone went to ask the chef out to cut the turkey. I bet they want to keep the turkey for the buffet the next day that is why they are so discreet about it. HAHAHA!
Oh and they refill your water like almost immediately.
Ambience is just so so as there was a rather huge crowd that night so it was pretty noisy but I shan't expect much during the christmas period! (Even if there are any christmas carols playing, I can't really hear it and there isn't much christmas decorations. Just maybe that rather small christmas tree outside the restaurant.)
We paid SGD 38 each which is pretty worth it but I doubt I would return again unless I have a real craving for any of the OMG dishes as the variety is really limited. What's a buffet when there's a narrow choice?
But oh well,
Loves Warm Apple Pudding! (:
